Managing Receipts

Introduction

Receipts neatly stores all your business expenses due to travel, client dinners, etc.

Receipt Groups

All receipts must be assigned to a group. If the group doesn't exist that you wish to add a receipt for, then you must first create the group. Receipt groups would be things like "Business Trip to Hong Kong 2016", or "Chicago Sales Conference 2017", etc. If you often times have single receipts that don't need to be grouped with a business trip, you may create general groups to categorize them. For example, you could create a group titled: Client Dinners.

To add a receipt group:

  1. Navigate to the Receipts icon in the navigation bar.
  2. Click on the blue Receipts folder.
  3. Click on the plus icon in the upper right corner of your screen and give the group a name.
  4. Click the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen to save your changes. The deal will automatically move to the folder of selected stage type.
To add a receipt:

  1. Navigate to the Receipts icon in the navigation bar.
  2. Click on the plus icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on Group, and select the group you wish to assign the receipt to, or click the plus icon to add a new group.
  4. Assign a category, such as travel or entertainment.
  5. If applicable, assign a contact that pertains to the receipt.
  6. If you were not the only company employee that was a part of the receipt expense, turn on the Team Receipt switch and be sure to add the other team member's names in the Notes section.
  7. Enter the amount of the receipt.
  8. Take a picture of the receipt so that you have a save copy stored for future reference and audit purposes.
  9. Click the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen to save your new receipt.
Editing a Receipt

To edit a deal:

  1. Click the Receipts icon in the navigation bar.
  2. Next, click on the Receipt folder that contains the receipt you wish to edit and select the receipt. If selecting from the blue Receipts folder, you must first select the receipt group before finding the specific receipt.
  3. Make any desired changes, and add in a location if applicable.
  4. Click the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen.
